About The Anchor House

We started The Anchor House because stable housing makes the difference between recovery that holds and recovery that doesn't.

Our Story

Recovery is hard enough without having to worry about where you're sleeping. We started The Anchor House because stable housing is the difference between recovery that sticks and recovery that doesn't — and too many people walk out of treatment or incarceration without anywhere solid to land.

The house runs on clear expectations: no drugs or alcohol, maintained chores, house meetings, and active pursuit of employment or a recovery program. Beyond those rules, residents manage their own time — which is part of the point. Rebuilding an independent life takes practice, and this is a place to practice it.

People come to us from treatment programs, incarceration, shelters, and unstable living situations. They come with different backgrounds. What they share is that they're serious about staying sober and they need a real place to do it from. We provide the structure. The rest is up to them.

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To provide safe, stable, and accountable recovery housing where adults committed to change can rebuild their lives with structure, peer support, and practical assistance for reintegration.

Our Vision

A community where stable housing is never the barrier that stands between someone and lasting recovery.

Our Values

Five values shape how we run the house and how we treat the people who live here.

Recovery

We support the full journey of recovery, wherever someone is on that path.

Accountability

We hold ourselves and each other to high standards, without judgment.

Growth

Progress matters more than perfection. We focus on what's actually in front of us.

Stability

We provide a safe, consistent foundation when everything else feels uncertain.

Community

Recovery is harder alone. The relationships built here are part of what makes it stick.

Why The Anchor House

What it actually means to live here.

A Real Home

Not a facility. Not a program in a building. A place where you can close the door, rest, and begin again.

People Who Understand

The peer community at The Anchor House has lived what you're living. That's not incidental — it's the whole point.

Practical Support

From job searching to ID assistance, we focus on the practical needs of reentry — not just the emotional ones.

Clear Expectations

The rules are clear, fair, and apply to everyone equally. You know exactly what's expected from day one.
